I understand the last review that from a visitors (outsiders) perspective they didn't appreciate the appeal.

I have such a wonderful time on Sunday's when I attend with my client/friend Kym. I enjoy Scott so much,he always has a story that relate's with my day to day life.
Sunday the 26th we were in Portland traveling. We always seek out a place to worship whenever we travel. We attended the 8 AM service and enjoyed the music for the first 20 minutes or so. We then listened to what I believe was a sermon, 75% being the selling and solicitation of funds for your new Church. "All In" t-shirts and fundraising motto being compared to the bible message was sickening. I fully understand giving but the full blown solicitation in verbal and written communication was not about Jesus and a message of hope, it was about what "we" at Eastpoint are going to accomplish with your money, land, and other possessions. It certainly is not a church we will ever return to. On the drive home we felt compelled to read the scriptures quoted and was certainly more touched by Jesus's message then in your building. Jesus first, gold and silver second.
Expanding God's Kingdom is not as easy as we'd like it. Sacrifice is required, but there's no one I trust more to lead Christ honoring Sacrifice than Scott.
Truth in love message...then lunch...son played basketball, husband played soccer, I played chess on the couch with my son...Very comfortable seats...I would recommend Eastpoint to anyone reading. No pressure was felt at all. We have been attending for 3 months.
Pastor Scott is handling the entire campaign to get into the new building in a very Christ honoring way.
