It's hard to find authentic Mexican anywhere in Portland but Taco Trio comes through in the clutch. The place is legendary among locals and has begun attracting the hipster crowd which leads to lines out the door sometimes in Summer. Not a sit-down place and not good for groups but an awesome spot to come with a friend or two for a quick bite.
Most authentic Mexican restaurant I have found in Maine. Small, and simple place with a very friendly staff. Beers on draft, they've even got Pacifico! Not wheelchair accessible. Restroom is up some stairs in the back.
Fantastic burritos. Great location. Loud and lively at atmosphere. So many awesome salsas to choose from.
I love Taco Trio. It is a wonderful place to have dinner. I prefer to take out because it is a small building and it is usually very busy. I have never had anything I did not love there. The salsa bar is excellent for people like me who like it hot, but there are plenty of other options if you don't like it spicy.
Always delicious! They are one of the best burrito places in Maine! Their salsas are great and there are so many to choose from! I eat until it hurts and never regret it haha
