DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE!!! Recently (10 weeks ago) we bought a matching couch and recliner from the South Portland location. First we went to the Lisbon store and found a couch that we really liked and was told by Randy that it was discontinued, which is fine. We decided we would keep looking and went to South Portland to see if they had more of a selection. One of the owners (I believe his name was Doug) helped us and told us that the couch we liked in Lisbon actually was not discontinued and that we could order it in the leather that we wanted. We went on to order the couch and recliner and were told that we would have the furniture within 6-8 weeks, which is also clearly stated on our invoice as well. Well here we are now at week 10, no furniture, no call, no nothing. I decided after being very patient (with no furniture) that I would call and check the status of when it would be delievered and was told very rudely by Becky that they "have no idea when they will be in" and "it was our fault we ordered a discontinued couch in the first place and it's not their problem". The owner assured us that it was not discontinued before we bought it or else we would have just found a different couch. Somehow now the blame is turned on us, so $3300 later and with no timeframe in sight on when we will get our furniture, they REFUSE to give us a refund. I do not give reviews normally but if this can save someone else the frustration of going through the same thing as we have then it's worth it. The customer service here is some of the worst i've ever experienced and will NEVER do business with this company again!!!

Walked in and asked what their return policy was. Salesman response "well, I'm really not supposed to tell you this, but we don't sell used furniture, we don't take any returns." The fact that all sales are final is actively hidden from customers.

Went to the south portland store three times. Could never speak with the same person and got three different quotes in three weeks there for the same sectional. The last quote was feom the owner at $4500, plus tax and a delivery fee. Went to landrys in sanford and their price for the exact same set is more than a thousand dollars less, and delivery is free. Oh, and the people are kind and nice. Family owned and run.

Based on the obnoxious constant ad on Chanel 2, I would never step foot in ANY of the Super stores, Have stopped watching that Chanel because of that awful ad.

We recently purchased a cocktail table from the Furniture Superstore. The sale was conducted very well. The young saleslady, Laine was very good and helpful. We loved the table. It fit many specific needs for us. We needed it within a week and were happy that they had one in their warehouse. Two days later we were called by the store and were told it was ready to be picked up. This is where the trouble began. When we inspected the table at the loading dock we noticed several problems with the table. The young man at the loading dock called his manager who went over the issues with us. He offered to give us the floor model. We asked if there would be a discount for taking the floor model and were answered with a flat out no. I wasn't too thrilled about taking a used table with no reduction of price. Then he flippantly said that we should just refund your money because you won't be happy with any table. Further he said that these tables are mass produced and that he could not guarantee that a new table would not have more defects. This is a $500 table. I don't think it is too much to expect that a new table should have no defects. We wound up taking the floor model(which he had to color with a marker because of a dent in it) because we did want the table and we were under a time constraint. Because of this "manager" and his crappy attitude I will never buy anything from Furniture Superstore in the future. Stay away! They don't know how to treat a customer.
