This is a great little grocery store. I usually go here before Hannaford or whole foods. The produce section is small and not always a good selection, but they have a great selection of meat and other foods. The prices are lower than most other places and they have a few hard to find items that I use regularly. The staff is friendly and helpful.
I absolutely love legion Square market because its a local owned business and I work there. Alan the owner my boss is a very dedicated person when it comes to his business and employee's.. the best cuts of meat around with the last two year best butcher award Tommy. I enjoy seeing the regulars they are very friendly.
Potential is here to have a really fine local market. I try to go at least once a week for meats, as that is their finest feature. I would love to see less space used for packages of processed stuff and cleaning supplies and more on better selection of baked goods and good local products at reasonable cost. They could be Bow Street Market South... Great , personal and friendly staff and so convenient for grabbing a few things you forgot at bigbox !
It's a wonderful neighborhood market. Not just excellent meat at good prices but very pleasant and inviting staff. You won't feel like a stranger in there!
