Shower curtain rod was broken. Dropped something that ended up under the bed and found it hadn't been cleaned underneath in some time. The bedding had several holes in it as well. Only positive was the low price point but I have been in much better hotels for less.
It's high season in Maine, that means high prices. Any where else in the US the best this motel could command would be in the 60 - 75 dollar range. In Maine high season it's double, at $140. Wrong with this motel in fact it's got a lot of good amenities next location easy to get to better-than-average Quality breakfast meaning some food of substance and quality that is comfortable with a memory foam mattress nice clean room overall very good stay. My rating woud be higher except for the incredibly high price for this facility.
Convenient to the mall and turnpike, have stayed here several times while traveling to/from the Boston area. The room appeared to have had recent updates to wall coverings and bedding. The mattresses were very comfortable and had plenty of towels. Staff is very friendly and courteous, which is always a plus.
This hotel is convenient to the Mall of Maine but is very quiet regarding traffic noise and borders on some type of Nature Walk. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I was so pleased to have found it and would stay again.
Driving through on our way to Addison, we stopped here for a 5 hour *nap* before we continued on our way. We checked in at 4 am, left by 9. We were billed $107.00. FOUR TIMES. It was the weekend, so they completely ruined our trip to Maine because all of my *spending* money was tied up while waiting for the *holds* to be dropped.
The rooms were clean, never had breakfast, so I can't speak for that, but I certainly would be concerned that their system is flawed and be prepared to have your money tied up for a few days.
I called the next morning to let them know what was happening, they agreed to compensate me for the original charge, and here I am, writing this review three days later because they never followed through.
